2.1 You will be able to access this Website without having to register any details with the Website. Information, such as name and email, is only requested if you are submitting a comment by email.  Third-party websites may require registration or personal details and are not covered by these Terms of Use.

 

2.2 You are permitted to use this website to find personal support resources.

 

2.3 The copyright and other intellectual property rights on this Website are owned by us and must not be reproduced without our prior consent. Please review third party terms of use with respect to reproduction of materials from respective websites.

3.0 INCLUSON CRITERIA

 

3.1 Inclusion of services on the Website is free and is not dependent upon the purchase of a membership, products or separate advertising space from Whistler Blackcomb Foundation (and its affiliate partners or contract workers/sub-contractors).

 

3.2 The Website includes organizations or programs primarily located in or serving areas that:

  • Provide a direct service to the public who resides in the Sea to Sky Corridor Communities;

  • Are networks or coalitions of direct mental health or substance use service providers;

  • Are not-for-profit, community-based or government organizations; and

  • Are commercial organizations licensed by the government or with special contractual documents to operate long term care facilities, child care centres and certain home care services.

 

3.3 The criteria for inclusion are as follows:

  • Local nonprofit agencies providing community services.

  • Federal, provincial, regional, and municipal government services.

  • Support groups.

  • Publicly funded health care providers, including physicians, hospitals and residential care facilities.

  • Groups performing system advocacy regarding issues and causes.

  • Organizations located outside BC where deemed necessary or important, including where such organizations:

  • Provide a service not available locally that is accessible through toll-free phone numbers and/or internet access.

  • Provide free or low-cost services to clients;

  • Are contracted by a government agency to provide free or low-cost services to clients; and/or

  • Meet a free or low-cost service need not addressed by the nonprofit sector.

 

3.4 The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation (and its affiliate partners or contract workers/sub-contractors) reserves the right, in its own discretion:

  • To exclude from the Website any organization that it has adequate reason to believe may spread hatred or have a philosophy that could be hurtful to the well-being of individuals, groups or the community as a whole;

  • To refuse to list or to discontinue listings for organizations that have had serious complaints lodged against them with any regulatory body or with other organizations in the database providing similar services, or with Whistler Blackcomb Foundation (and its affiliate partners or contract workers) itself; and

  • To exclude or include services according to priorities and resources.

Potential grounds for exclusion or removal from the Website may include, but are not limited to, service non-delivery, fraud, misrepresentation, discrimination, criminal activities, or operating outside licensing mandates.

Changes submitted may not appear automatically or immediately on the Website, but as time permits will be considered, added and/or removed in a timely fashion.
